Registrations are officially open for the CIM Academy Additive Manufacturing, the new training program designed by CIM and Politecnico di Torino for professionals and companies looking to integrate additive manufacturing into their production processes with solid and immediately applicable skills.
The Academy starts in March 2026 and offers a comprehensive experience: specialized training, access to real technologies, industrial project work, and support from tutors and mentors.
A program designed for the industry
The CIM Academy Additive Manufacturing is born from the collaboration between CIM and the Master School of Politecnico di Torino. The goal is to offer a program that combines academic rigor with applied industrial experiences, providing concrete tools to make informed decisions on technologies, processes, and the adoption of AM in the company.
Hybrid format and operational focus
The program is designed to be compatible with work activities. The format is hybrid and part-time, with online theoretical lessons, in-person lab days and visits, and practical activities. Participants will have access to the CIM Additive Manufacturing pilot line, working directly on metal and polymer technologies, post-processing, and quality control.
6 modules to cover the entire AM supply chain
The program is structured into six thematic modules that delve into the entire value chain: from Design for Additive Manufacturing to technologies, from materials to quality, from industrialization to costs and sustainability.
Industrial Project Work on real cases
The heart of the Academy is the Project Work: 40 hours of work on a real industrial challenge proposed by a partner company. Participants work in multidisciplinary teams, supported by a corporate mentor, with the aim of developing a concrete project that can be replicated in their own production context.
Target audience
The Academy is ideal for innovation managers, technical managers, R&D teams, engineers, and technologists who already have an introductory knowledge of Additive Manufacturing and wish to develop advanced skills ready to be applied.
Start and funding opportunities
The first edition starts in March 2026. Participation is limited (minimum 10, maximum 20 participants) to ensure quality, direct interaction, and personalized support.
Companies can access funding up to 70%.
