COMPAC is positioned within the industrial IoT sector along the Smart Devices direction aimed at the electric automotive market. The purpose of the proposal is to develop a highly innovative product, bringing it to a technological maturity level close to the market, starting from a solution already partially demonstrated in an operational environment. The product, the subject of the proposal, is a system for real-time acquisition of vital data from the battery pack, which, through ‘intelligent’ electronics, allows for remote control and monitoring of the battery pack, interconnecting different physical elements via the network (IoT) and collecting information (data) on its operation.
The activities planned within this project aim to reach a TRL8, which is the complete definition and qualification of the system.
The fundamental activities identified and enclosed in three work packages are:
- Validation of the software environment
- Validation of the hardware environment
- Integration and qualification of the solution
The company Beond Srl, a spin-off of the Polytechnic University of Turin and since December 2018 an Innovative SME, is the sole proposer and intends to use the consultancy of CIM 4.0 to evaluate the scalability of the product in relation to the reference market. With this proposal, Beond intends to give a future to the supply chain technologies that historically belong to our territory but have significance in responding to the demands of a market that now thinks in global terms.
