International professionals guide you through an in-depth exploration of transition design, system thinking, human-centered design, future scenarios, and much more to develop a comprehensive innovation-oriented vision.

The module guides participants into the heart of digital transformation: data analysis. The courses within provide a solid foundation to navigate the world of data and contribute to the development of intelligent and sustainable solutions for industry 4.0. We will discuss data management, artificial intelligence, IoT, cloud, blockchain, network science, and much more.

An in-depth look at the fundamentals of industrial automation in a digital context, the evolution of automatic systems towards intelligent and flexible solutions. From collaborative robotics to vision sensors, you will acquire skills to design and manage automated processes capable of integrating into interconnected production environments.

An overview of additive manufacturing technologies, from processes and materials to post-processing, with a focus on the impact of these solutions along the industrial value chain. Through concrete cases in the automotive and aerospace sectors, advanced integrated design logics and integration with existing processes will be explored. The program includes specialist contributions on materials with attention to sustainability aspects and the evaluation of the environmental impact of additive technologies.

The module explores the potential of AR and VR technologies and digital twins to optimize processes, products, and industrial environments. From simulation to virtual and augmented reality, to the use of digital twins for design, production, and lifecycle management. Ample space is dedicated to the topics of using dedicated mobile networks, Edge Cloud, 5G platforms, and the role of quantum technologies for the development of new services. The module is completed with a laboratory activity in the Digital Factory pilot line.

The module provides a comprehensive view of World Class Manufacturing, addressing the technical and managerial pillars underlying continuous improvement strategies. Through innovative techniques such as motion capture for ergonomics and integration with AI, XR, and machine learning technologies, you will discover how WCM practices evolve towards more efficient and sustainable models. The program includes a focus on sustainability, carbon neutrality, and real case studies to build operational roadmaps in industrial contexts.

Solid introduction to predictive maintenance techniques, and in-depth exploration of the main diagnostic methodologies and lifecycle management of plants and machinery with practical examples. By comparing different methodologies in various industrial sectors, you will acquire tools to anticipate failures and non-conformities, improving process reliability. Ample space is dedicated to the impact of AI on predictive maintenance and the role of sustainability in management models.

This module addresses cybersecurity topics starting from fundamental principles and best practices by analyzing emerging trends and the evolution of corporate culture. You will delve into cases of Industrial Security related to the automotive sector, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) topics, including the application of GDPR regulations and ISO standards. During the course, you will participate in a realistic simulation of a cyber incident in a company to analyze its process, tools, and crisis management to identify a standard procedure. Final focus on blockchain as an enabling technology for cybersecurity in the IoT world.

Learn to manage the operational complexity of digital transition with Agile, Scrum, and DesignOps methodologies with a focus on tools, practical cases, and impact on business processes. Monitor the effects of change and balance costs. A part of the module is also dedicated to how to use AI Agents to optimize decision-making and operational management.
