The proposed solution addresses the needs of an employer who must provide their operators with a wearable, acceptable, and privacy-respecting workplace safety system.
It is particularly aimed at isolated or solitary workers who perform their activities alone or cannot be seen or heard by anyone else. In case of emergency, accident, or illness, the worker cannot be promptly assisted by colleagues or other people nearby. This results in a heightened perception of risk, combined with the awareness of not having support in abnormal/difficult situations, which can lead to a state of insecurity and anxiety.
The project aims to prepare a product dedicated to safeguarding workplace safety, centered around the Adamo watch, a key product of Caretek, and based on a set of NB-IoT gateways, as well as SW components for data storage and processing.
The solution, in more detail, includes:
- the use by the isolated worker of a wearable terminal, the Adamo watch
- a network of gateways connected on next-generation Narrowband IoT networks capable of forwarding information collected by the watches within the monitored area according to the Internet of Things paradigm
- a technology based on processing the received information, capable of locating, even indoors, the emergency call point
- a SW platform for data collection and processing that allows for emergency management, technical monitoring of devices, and tools for analysis and reporting of recorded events.
