The MYWAI™ 4 ESAOTE project aims to develop a prototype of an innovative architecture on a distributed DLT network for the creation of a marketplace for purchasing with cryptocurrency and executing diagnostic tests on decentralized edge computers for industrial and biomedical devices using inherently secure and reliable Edge AI algorithms and methods (“secure & trustworthy AI by design”) as required by recent EU guidelines on AI (https://ec.europa.eu/info/strategy/priorities-2019-2024/europe-fit-digital-age/excellence-trust-artificial-intelligence_en).
Specifically, the project aims to create a d-app (decentralized app) on a next-generation DLT topology (IOTA™ TANGLE) using a distributed network of computational nodes on edge computers equipped with Artificial Neural Networks on ASIC hardware chips for executing secure and reliable AI Algorithms.
The system, developed under the proprietary MYWAI™ patent (www.myw.ai) by the innovative startup KNOWHEDGE™ in collaboration with SWHARD™ and CSP™, has been tested with the distribution of an innovative AI algorithm (IAR, In Air Reverberation) for post-sale compliance verification of ultrasound probes of the ultrasound devices that the international leader Esaote™, a project partner, distributes in clinics and hospitals worldwide, and which the new requirements of the American FDA certification body require to be verified at each startup to reduce the risk of malfunctions and radiant emissions in case of a degraded probe.
