On Wednesday, June 26, 2023, with a round table dedicated to the theme of technological and collaborative innovation, we inaugurated a new Hub of the CIM4.0 Competence Center at the Michelin plant, the first Innovation Laboratory in the Province of Cuneo. An innovative space that will serve to provide operational support for manufacturing companies in the area in terms of industrial process digitalization.
The objective of the new Hub
The new technological laboratory of CIM4.0 has a dual purpose: to support local companies in their digital and green transition journey and to welcome young people to guide them through the final stage of their professional training.
The Hub is already fully operational with several use cases already developed, including:
- autonomous guidance systems for both internal and external use,
- vibration analysis and predictive maintenance systems for production machinery,
- vision systems based on Machine Learning,
- Robot/Cobot systems for industrial applications,
- production planning and execution systems.
The Cuneo laboratory will be closely connected with the Turin headquarters, its pilot lines (Additive Manufacturing, Digital Factory), and will ensure direct and simplified access to all our expertise.
We are proud to contribute together with Michelin Italia, Confindustria Cuneo, and the Politecnico di Torino to the development of the ecosystem, industrial supply chains, and the knowledge chain, essential ingredients for competitiveness and sustainable development of a region.
