Ensuring the quality of these often very large elements is essential for the safety of infrastructures. However, final inspections can be complex and costly.\nThe project developed with Immodrone was created to address this need by introducing an innovative system based on <strong data-start=\"657\" data-end=\"703\">Computer Vision<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"657\" data-end=\"703\">Artificial Intelligence<\/strong> to automate inspections and support technicians with objective analyses. By using drones and AI, the aim is to make inspections faster, more precise, and reliable, contributing to the digitalization of the infrastructure sector.   <\/p>","soluzione":"<p class=\"\" data-start=\"303\" data-end=\"537\">The developed solution is based on a smart <strong data-start=\"365\" data-end=\"398\">visual inspection<\/strong> system capable of detecting anomalies in prefabricated components. Through drones equipped with cameras, images of bolts, rivets, or other objects are captured, which, in addition to documenting their integrity, are processed through software. This data feeds <b>Deep Learning<\/b> models, trained to identify defects such as cracks, surface irregularities, or damage. The result is an objective, precise, and scalable system that supports technicians in verifying the quality of the artifacts.   <\/p>","impatto":"The developed model was tested on the test set, demonstrating a <strong>good detection capability<\/strong> of the defined classes, <strong>even under variable framing<\/strong> and image angle conditions. In particular, it was observed that some classes are more easily identifiable from certain perspectives, thanks to greater visibility and clarity of structural elements. ","supporto_cim":"<p class=\"\" data-start=\"557\" data-end=\"876\">CIM4.0 contributed in multiple phases of the project: <strong data-start=\"695\" data-end=\"735\">definition of requirements<\/strong><span data-start=\"695\" data-end=\"735\">, <\/span><strong data-start=\"741\" data-end=\"764\">dataset analysis<\/strong> collected, <strong data-start=\"807\" data-end=\"873\">validation of data useful for training algorithms<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"878\" data-end=\"1176\">It also provided <strong data-start=\"897\" data-end=\"985\">technical support in the development and optimization of Machine Learning models<\/strong> for automatic defect recognition, integrating AI solutions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1178\" data-end=\"1514\">In the CIM4.0 Digital Factory laboratory, the <strong data-start=\"1221\" data-end=\"1289\">demonstration of the system's capabilities in a controlled environment<\/strong> was carried out, the analysis of results obtained in a real industrial context, through a <strong data-start=\"1383\" data-end=\"1399\">complete PoC<\/strong> (design, implementation, and testing), and the <strong data-start=\"1438\" data-end=\"1478\">definition of an evolutionary roadmap<\/strong> for future developments and applications.<\/p>","gallery":"","video_di_progetto":"","partners":[3961],"tecnologia":"","competenza_in_campo":"Definition of requirements, dataset analysis, data validation, technical support in the development of Machine Learning models; demonstration of system capabilities in a controlled environment, result analysis, complete PoC, definition of an evolutionary roadmap"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
