In the Industry 5.0 paradigm, robots are no longer simple automation tools but adaptive and cognitive systems integrated into intelligent production ecosystems, with significant impacts on productivity, flexibility, and operational resilience. <\/p>\n<p>Inspired by the position paper <em>Advanced Robotics in Industry: Technological Evolution, Impacts and Future Perspectives<\/em>, the course offers an introductory yet structured overview of Advanced Robotics, combining strategic perspectives and technological foundations to guide companies toward a conscious, effective, and sustainable adoption of these solutions.<\/p>\n<p>The course is introductory and offers a comprehensive overview of the technologies, operating logic, and main applications of advanced robotics, without involving programming activities or direct use of the robots.<\/p>\n<p>The first part of the course will analyze the evolution from traditional automation to multi-functional robots, key market trends, growth drivers, investments, and the emerging role of humanoid robotics, with particular focus on strategic impacts for businesses and industrial scalability challenges.<\/p>\n<p>The second part will delve into the main technologies redefining advanced robotics, including AI, simulation and Digital Twins, multimodal perception, autonomous navigation, Edge\/Cloud Computing, and human\u2013machine interaction.
