How are cookies distinguished?
They are particularly distinguished into
Technical cookies: these are cookies installed directly by the Owner or the website manager that allow

Profiling cookies: these are cookies designed to track individual user preferences with the aim of allowing the definition of a commercial offer or a service in line with the choices made by the user during their navigation. Profiling cookies can be used with the consent of the interested party.
They are also distinguished into
- First-party cookies: these are cookies installed directly by the Owner or manager of the site being visited. They are cookies used, for example, to ensure technical operation or to keep track of preferences expressed regarding the use of the site.
- Third-party cookies: these are cookies installed by third parties through the Owner’s or manager’s site, which in this case acts as a technical intermediary. These cookies are used when the visited site presents content from external sources (e.g., advertising banners, videos, etc.). Third-party cookies require the consent of the interested party.
