In the tourism and museum sector, there is growing interest in more interactive, personalized, and engaging visitor experiences, with increasing attention to the dialogue between visitors and content. In this scenario, NEOSYN has identified an opportunity to explore innovative ways to facilitate access to cultural information in an autonomous, immediate, and engaging manner.
Through the EXPAND program, CIM and Neosyn have combined expertise and know-how to develop an intelligent virtual assistant. The Proof of Concept for Neosyn was created with the aim of developing a robust backend infrastructure capable of supporting an intelligent virtual assistant in the context of museum visits. An agent capable of providing detailed information, answering specific questions in real time, and guiding visitors during visits drawing information from a collection of documents or through a web search.
The project led to the development of a complete and functional system, based on a Python backend with the FastAPI framework, integrated with OpenAI’s APIs and prepared for interfacing with mobile applications. The virtual assistant proved highly effective in tests, achieving an accuracy rate of over 98% in responses. The architecture ensures high scalability, maintainability, and ease of deployment both in cloud environments and on-premise.
From an economic perspective, the adoption of OpenAI services has allowed for significant cost optimization, ensuring high performance with sustainable and predictable resource management.
