Enrico Pochettino is the Innovation Director of the IREN Group, one of Italy’s leading multi-utility companies operating in Northwest Italy.
Born in 1975, he graduated in Economics and Commerce and has held various roles within the Group over the years, including Investor Relations Manager, M&A Manager, and Head of Regulation and New Initiatives at IREN Energia, overseeing the Group’s major extraordinary transactions.
Since 2015, he has served as the Group’s Innovation Director from the inception of the department, developing a new open innovation model within the Group and coordinating innovation projects across the Group’s various business units.
IREN is currently the leading multi-utility company for funded projects in the Horizon 2020/Europe programs and won the ToP Utility Award for Innovation in 2026. In 2018, it launched the IREN-Up corporate venture capital program for direct and indirect investments in cleantech startups.
